Berlin/Jena, Germany – International Planetarium Society Conference 2024 to Feature Innovative AI Tools for Dome Control

The International Planetarium Society (IPS) is set to host its 2024 conference in Berlin and Jena, where a presentation from Prof. Dr. Michael Markert will explore the integration of AI tools and collaborative interactions for controlling the dome. This talk will be part of the Fulldome Festival Community Forum Panel, scheduled for July 19, 2024.

The presentation follows a successful workshop session held on November 13, 2023, at the Carl-Zeiss-Planetarium in Jena. This historic venue, which is currently considered as the oldest operating large planetarium worldwide, was the festival venue where the latest immersive AI tools for dome content creation were introduced in a hands-on session. The workshop was conducted in collaboration with Prof. Jason Reizner, highlighting the potential of AI in revolutionizing planetarium experiences.
